Eminem has done it again. He's rapped his way into trouble with the Secret Service this time because of some lyrics that state that he wants to see Bush dead. Him and the rest of the Middle East. What else is new?
It's hysterical that the SS are even investigating the matter, and yet given how this administration has been all about taking away our freedoms, I shouldn't be surprised.

This is a delightful thing I took from K courtesy of Google.
Go to Google and type in 'miserable failure' and then hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. It's amusing.

Good acting or karma. A woman with a long history of personal injury claims against chains such as Walgreens and Wal-mart was trampled at a Wal-mart while shopping for a DVD player. She subsequently spent two days in the hospital recovering from her injuries.
It was definately karma, methinks.

A federal district judge has granted a temporary restraining order against the MPAA's screener ban. This is excellent news for independant filmmakers, though I already know an appeal is on the way. I honestly did not see this coming, but I'm glad the judge ruled this way.

I have spent almost $200 today and though it's for a good cause, I can't help but feel queasy. I'm not used to spending money so freely, especially when I'm rather poor. I am glad I get to spend it on Christmas gifts.
I have almost everyone done. I'm still trying to get Brendan's gift, and Katie's. I want to get something for Brooke and Roci and Roberta, and I need to buy some cards because I'd like to actually send some this year to Joe and Nik and Curtis and Marjorie and whomever else wants them. (hint: drop me a line if you'd like a card). Stephen's birthday present and christmas gift is bought, but neither one of my brothers has asked me what I want for my birthday or christmas which has me rather perplexed and feeling like I'm going to get screwed, again. I put all this time and effort into thinking what they might love, and they never take the time for me. Really, it's one of the minor drawbacks of being a December baby. Gah.

It's posts like this one that make my day. Hani, you are hysterical. I like that. Good luck on finals.

SPOILER for Carnavale
Oh my God. The Carnavale season finale so kicked ass. I'm still reeling from it. I'm going to have to watch it again. And I can't believe they used music from The Thin Red Line. Not that I minded because it fit the mood perfectly, but it just goes to show what a music soundtrack geek I can be.
What an amazing show. I hope I don't have to wait a whole year for season 2. That would just be cruel. At least Lodz bit the dust though I did not see that coming. But I still want to know what happens to Appollonia, Sophie, and Jonesy. Gah!!!
If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for?

I'm gone. But not for long. We're flying out to San Jose today to see the Irish play tomorrow against Stanford. This is my first game in almost 4 years. It's actually kinda sad, but I'm kinda giddy. I just hope my boys don't lose.
See ya Sunday.

To the media people: Get thee a life, or a better yet, a refresher course in what really is newsworthy. Michael Jackson is not news, and I am appalled at the sheer number of specials and news programs already lined up for the following days ready to analyze every aspect of his life to determine whether he actually molested the 12 year old boy. Do you really want to know the truth? Hello. As if settling the lawsuit last time didn't make things clear then, but frankly I don't care. The media storm right now is disgusting, and there are more important things going on in the world than MJs mugshot.
